The Public Service Commission of Wisconsin (PSC) is currently recruiting for a Grants Coordinator (Grants Specialist) to join our team in the Division of Digital Access, Consumer, and Environmental Affairs – Office of Energy Innovation. The PSC is an independent state agency that is responsible for regulating more than 1,100 Wisconsin public utilities, which provide electric, natural gas, combined water and sewer utilities, and certain aspects of local telephone service to households and businesses throughout the state! The PSC of Wisconsin ensures safe, reliable, affordable, and environmentally responsible utility services and equitable access to telecommunications and broadband services. This position offers a hybridized work schedule. This schedule may change based on operational needs and organizational requirements. The position is headquartered at the Hill Farms State Office Building in Madison, WI. This position will be required to come into the office for scheduled in-person workdays, training, meetings and/or operational needs. Employees will be generally expected to telework from within the State of Wisconsin. Further questions regarding hybrid and remote work may be discussed more at the time of the interview. Position Summary This position requires a working knowledge of state and federal energy programs. This position serves as support in all areas of grants management including customer service, contract development and compliance (with state and federal laws and policies), fiscal tracking, processing payment requests, updating spreadsheets, and reconciling financial records. This position serves as the Grants Coordinator on the team and is responsible for supporting the launch of new and existing State and Federal grant programs including the development of application materials, scoring metrics, preparing systems for data collection, and working with the Grants and Compliance lead to develop memos for the Commission. The position will ensure compliance with all applicable regulations in preparing grant agreements, amendments and reports, processing payment requests, maintaining financial records and coordinating program trainings for potential applicants and awardees. The position also includes stakeholder engagement and support work such as providing information to potential applicants, preparing answers to frequently asked questions, and ensuring that communication is consistently delivered to all parties. This position is in schedule-range 07-04 with an annual salary of $58,240-$68,640, plus excellent benefits . A twelve-month probationary period is required. Pay for current state employees will be set in accordance with the Wisconsin State Compensation Plan.
