Registered School NurseProvide healthcare to students with acute and chronic health concerns.Responsibilities:Provide first aid and emergency care for injuries and illnessesAdminister prescribed medications and treatments (insulin injections, nebulizer treatments)Monitor students with chronic conditions (e.g., asthma, diabetes, allergies)Conduct health screenings (vision, hearing, BMI, etc.)Develop and monitor healthcare plansMaintain accurate student health recordsEnsure immunization compliance per state regulationsDocument incidents, treatments, and communicationsRespond to medical emergencies and coordinate with EMSDevelop and implement emergency care plansCommunicate with parents/guardians regarding student health concernsCollaborate with teachers, counselors, and administratorsWork with community health agencies and healthcare providersOther duties as assigned by administrationTerms of employment: School nurse positions follow a 186-day fiscal year schedule. This includes all days when teachers are present in the building (180 days), plus an additional (total) 6 days scheduled before the start of the school year and after the conclusion of the school year.
