Nearby.ai is a home services platform that connects homeowners with trusted local service providers. We're looking for a motivated intern to help expand our merchant network through local business outreach and partnership development.
Research and identify local home service businesses (plumbers, electricians, cleaners, landscapers, HVAC, etc.) as potential partners
Reach out to local merchants via phone, email, in-person visits, and social media to introduce Nearby.ai and onboard them onto our platform
Build and maintain a pipeline of prospective partners using CRM tools or spreadsheets
Assist in crafting outreach scripts, pitch decks, and partnership proposals
Collect merchant feedback to help the team improve our value proposition and onboarding process
Track outreach metrics (contacts made, response rates, conversion rates) and report weekly progress
Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field
Strong communication and interpersonal skills — comfortable with cold outreach
Self-starter who can work independently and manage their own schedule
Organized, detail-oriented, and able to juggle multiple conversations at once
Interest in startups, local commerce, or the home services industry
Type: Part-time internship (10–20 hrs/week), flexible schedule
Duration: 3–6 months
Location: Remote with occasional local fieldwork
Compensation: Paid ($18-22 hourly)
