Overview Physician Assistant opportunity in Charleston, SC for Cardiology. Roper St. Francis Healthcare seeks a flexible and experienced cardiovascular Physician Assistant to join the Coastal Cardiology team. Coastal Cardiology is one of the largest cardiac health care providers in the Lowcountry, specializing in invasive, non-invasive, structural, and general cardiology for the past 30 years. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including histories, physical examinations, and diagnostic evaluations specific to cardiovascular health Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the cardiologist and other healthcare professionals Perform and interpret diagnostic tests Assist in preoperative and postoperative care of patients undergoing cardiac procedures Provide patient education on cardiovascular health, disease, prevention, treatment options, and lifestyle modifications Manage and follow-up on patients with chronic and acute cardiovascular conditions, ensuring continuity of care and adherence to treatment regimen Prescribe medications and treatments according to protocols and within the scope of practice Maintain accurate and timely patient records, ensuring all documentation meets regulatory standards Stay current with advancements in cardiovascular medicine through continuous education and professional development Qualifications Position requires 1-2 years of provider experience, preferably in inpatient and outpatient cardiology The team consists of 10 PAs and 15 cardiologists, covering 5 hospitals and 6 outpatient locations on a weekly rotation Employed by Roper St. Francis Physician Partners Full benefits Salaried position, includes holidays and weekends when on call CME allowance PSLF qualified Experienced candidates – apply through PracticeMatch About Charleston / Why Charleston Charleston, SC offers opportunities to work, live and play in the greater Charleston area, including Charleston, Berkeley & Dorchester Counties.
