We are looking for a Data Entry Clerk to support accounting operations for a construction and contractor organization in Irving, Texas. This Long-term Contract opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys working with financial documents, maintaining accurate records, and collaborating with vendors and internal teams. The position offers a Monday through Friday schedule with standard daytime hours and some flexibility, along with the potential for increased pay upon placement.

Responsibilities:
• Examine invoices and payment requests to confirm completeness, accuracy, and required authorizations before processing
• Input and categorize invoice data in the accounting platform while ensuring all records are entered correctly and on time
• Prepare and process vendor payments through approved methods in accordance with established payment schedules
• Compare vendor statements against internal records and investigate any inconsistencies to achieve timely resolution
• Communicate with suppliers to address payment questions and help maintain positive working relationships
• Contribute to month-end accounting activities by assisting with accrual support and related reporting tasks
• Organize accounts payable files and supporting documentation so records remain audit-ready and easy to retrieve
• Follow internal control standards and compliance procedures to support accurate financial operations
• Provide additional administrative and accounting assistance for special assignments as business needs evolve• Experience performing high-volume data entry with strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to enter numeric and financial information efficiently while maintaining data integrity
• Proficiency using computer-based data entry systems and standard office software
• Strong typing skills with the ability to work quickly in a deadline-driven environment
• Comfortable reviewing financial documents and identifying errors or missing information
• Effective written and verbal communication skills for interacting with vendors and internal departments
• Ability to stay organized, manage multiple priorities, and follow established procedures consistently
