Job Description Shonto Preparatory School Purpose Statement Residential Manager The job of Residential Manager is done for the purpose/s of overseeing the overall operation of the residential program and residential hall buildings. Residential Manager oversees all phases of the residential living BIE Compliance with student enrollment and attendance. Additional role and responsibilities include financial budgeting for program operation and curriculum. Fosters an atmosphere for academic, social, cultural, and emotional growth in the residential program hall. Leads in the enforcement of all School and hall policies; are responsible for the general well- being, community development and a student learning environment in the residential program. This job reports to Superintendent Essential Functions Responsible for reviewing daily student attendance records, review the daily student dormitory logs, counsel individual or group of students, supervise, monitor, and provide feedback to staff. Responsible for reviewing dormitory conditions for maintenance. Responsible for ordering and purchasing dormitory equipment and supplies from vendors. Responsible for review and approval of staff work hours in Frontline. Responsible to provide monthly Board report through the Superintendent. Responsible for the development, update of the current school year Standard Operation Procedure Manual. Responsible for the development, update of the current school year Parent Student Handbook.
Responsible to submit two narrative reports to BIE within 45 days of the beginning of the current school year and after the last day of the current school year. Responsible for the current school year BIE student count week. Maintains student health informational file records (e.g. prescription dispensing log, medical emergency cards, etc.) for the purpose of providing information required by regulatory requirements. Maintains a variety of file records (e.g. record of activities, signed permission forms, emergency information, schedules of competition, etc.) for the purpose of complying with program and District requirements. Maintains confidentiality in compliance with FERPA (Family Education Records & Privacy Act). Develop and provide program curriculum which are in compliance with CFR 25, Part 36, Subpart G, with minimum required activities:
Will supervise activities periodically.
On call 24 hours. Other duties as assigned by the Superintendent. Team work and Collaboration Responsible for developing and leading residential staff meeting. Responsible for reviewing and supervising student medication in coordination with the school nurse. Leads residential parent meetings for parent participation, program information and student recognition. Provides student counseling and intervention availability for student safety and welfare. Responsible for the upkeep, maintenance and operation of Program vehicles.
Attends meetings, workshops and seminars for the purpose of gathering information required to perform functions to improve residential program services with the latest research basis best practices. Communication and Documentation

- One hour per day of scheduled structured study hall at least 4 days per week.
- One hour per day of scheduled structured activities Monday-Thursday.
- Tutoring during study hall
- Native language or cultural activities.
- Wellness program that may include character, health, wellness, and sex education.

- Responsible to update parents about student academic and residential performance.
- Responsible for writing and distribution of direction for program operation of program operation to personnel.
- Provide updated personnel duty schedule for continuity of operation.
- Communicate with Food Service Manager or Designee pertaining to student meals.
- Submit student counseling and intervention to appropriate agencies.
- Submit student SCAN report in compliant with BIE regulation.
