Diesel Mechanic Intern - Summer 2026

Job Title
Responsibilities: Assist mechanics with maintenance and repairs on rental equipment including aerial lifts, compactors, loaders, and excavators. Perform preventive maintenance such as oil changes, filter replacements, lubrication, and equipment inspections. Support troubleshooting of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical components. Help maintain shop organization, tools, and equipment documentation. Assist with equipment inspections and preparing machines for rental or return from jobsites.
Learning Opportunities: Hands-on experience working on equipment from manufacturers such as CAT, Komatsu, Volvo, and JLG. Exposure to aerial, earthmoving, and compaction equipment used on active construction projects. Mentorship from experienced diesel and heavy equipment mechanics. Shop experience in the construction equipment industry.
