Maintenance Technician

Maintenance TechnicianFreeman Boatworks is looking for a hands-on, reliable Maintenance Technician to join our team. This role plays a vital part in keeping our facility, equipment, and grounds in top condition. The ideal candidate will be experienced in general maintenance, mechanically inclined, and proactive in identifying and addressing issues.ResponsibilitiesTroubleshoot and perform preventative maintenance (PM) on CNC machineryDiagnose, repair, and rebuild Gelcoat, Resin, Chop, and Putty gunsAssist with PLCs, automation systems, and other robotic equipmentMaintain PM schedules and documentationLead and train other maintenance team membersPerform light building maintenance (changing lightbulbs, filters, minor repairs, etc.)Conduct general electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and painting repairsMaintain cleanliness and safety of the facility and grounds, including restrooms and exterior areasOversee waste removal and surface sanitation effortsSupport HVAC maintenance and filter changesHelp assess and resolve issues with building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing)Complete other related tasks as neededQualificationsHigh school diploma or GED2–3 years of facilities or industrial maintenance experience preferredBasic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and carpentry repairsFamiliarity with PLC programming and robotic equipment a plus!Ability to work independently and as part of a teamStrong communication and interpersonal skillsPhysical RequirementsMust be able to lift up to 50 lbs regularlyRequires bending, stooping, and climbing laddersComfortable working in an active manufacturing environmentWhat We OfferCompetitive payPaid time off and holidaysGreat benefits—medical, dental, vision, company-paid life and disability insurance, and more!401(k) with company matchA people-focused workspace with an emphasis on team collaboration and industry innovationWe build some of the most sought-after offshore fishing boats in the world, and we take pride in the craftsmanship, innovation, and excellence that define our team.
