The TL;DR Role: Early Career Type: Full-time Location: In-person, Beloit, WI Mission: This person will ensure accurate fixed asset accounting, supporting financial audits and comprehensive reporting for the organization. Tech Stack: Yardi or Sage (preferred), Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) What You’ll Actually Do Manage Fixed Assets: Efficiently process all fixed asset transactions, including additions, transfers, and disposals, and accurately record other asset changes within the designated fixed asset system. Reconcile Accounts: Consistently prepare and execute monthly balance sheet reconciliations specifically for fixed assets and accumulated depreciation, ensuring the fixed asset subledger meticulously aligns with the general ledger. Generate Financial Reports: Execute the monthly depreciation run and systematically prepare comprehensive monthly fixed asset rollforwards along with all necessary supporting schedules for financial reporting. Support Financial Audits: Actively assist with various year-end audit requests, providing accurate and timely information, and contribute to the meticulous compilation of financial packages. Ensure Compliance & Improvement: Diligently follow all established accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls pertaining to fixed assets, and support system maintenance, data cleanup, reporting, and process improvement initiatives. The Must-Haves Background: Candidates must possess a Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent level of education and professional experience. A considerable and demonstrable knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles is a fundamental requirement to ensure all financial reporting and processes adhere to established standards. Experience: This role requires practical experience in performing month-end balance sheet reconciliations and executing monthly fixed asset specific tasks. Experience assisting with year-end audit requests and compiling financial packages is also beneficial for success in this position. Skills: Essential skills include proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, specifically Word, Excel, and Outlook, for daily financial analysis and communication. The ability to manage fixed asset additions, transfers, disposals, and related changes accurately is critical.
