Electrical Project Manager

Assist the Project Manager in establishing the project electrical budget, expediting change orders, managing project changes, and maintaining the construction schedule.

Review project documents, drawings, wiring diagrams, instructional manuals, specifications, and blueprints to schedule work activities and field installations.

Participate in developing and managing three- and six-week look-ahead schedules.

Develop a site logistics plan.

Plan, organize, and direct production of contracted scope of work.

Coordinate production and attend meetings with other trades and the general contractor to identify and resolve conflicts.

Provide excellent customer service and maintain strong relationships with project stakeholders.

Oversee safe installations, alterations, additions, and repairs of electrical systems and associated materials and equipment.

Inspect installations to ensure compliance with quality and electrical code standards.

Lay out project work and ensure materials, tools, and equipment are available to meet the construction schedule.

Complete material requests, timesheets, safety reports, and incident reports.

Monitor budgets and take necessary actions to maintain financial targets and maximize profits.

Maintain familiarity with plans, specifications, job folders, and contract scope.

Review electrical drawings with the team performing assigned work.

Utilize quantitative reporting and weekly labor variance reports to measure performance.

Develop, monitor, and report completion of craft and subcontractor punch list activities.

Maintain daily reports, timesheets, safety reports, and accident reports.

Monitor construction productivity, progress, and cost and report to the Supervisor.

Apply knowledge of National Electrical Codes as needed.

Coordinate with Purchasing to ensure requested materials are expedited and received as required.

Order daily materials for assigned work areas and follow up on backorders.

Document all change orders.

Develop stable working relationships with assigned subcontractors.

Monitor and resolve matters involving work procedures, complaints, damages, accidents, and delays.

Confer with managerial and technical personnel, other departments, and contractors to resolve problems and coordinate activities.

Communicate priority project problems, employee issues, job costing issues, and other concerns to the Project Manager.

Provide the workforce with current and accurate information from Safety, HR, Purchasing, Accounting, and other company representatives.

Estimate material and worker requirements to complete jobs.

Assist with electrical system installation, troubleshooting, and repair as needed.

Ensure company, department, and technical policies, procedures, and standards are followed.

Enforce company safety measures, regulations, and required use of safety equipment.

Participate in safety and incident investigations and reviews.

Monitor and manage tool control for the job site.

Ensure work areas are properly cleaned.

Train employees, plan and assign work, direct work activities, appraise performance, reward and discipline employees, address complaints, and resolve problems.

Skilled electrician with at least two (2) years of experience managing crews and running projects, and at least 10 years of experience in the electrical trade.

Knowledge of basic mathematical operations and calculations to calculate labor, materials, and/or cost estimates for projects and work orders.

Ability to read and understand blueprints.

Proven track record of delivering safe projects on schedule and within budget.

In-depth knowledge of NEC, local building codes, industry standards, and job site safety requirements.

Experience with material and labor costs.

Excellent communication skills.

Strong leadership skills.

Strong safety background.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.

Ability to effectively read, write, and communicate in the English language at a 12th-grade level.

Valid Florida Driver's License in good standing.

High school diploma or equivalent.

Bilingual.

Journeyman Electrical License.

Bluebeam experience.

OSHA 30.

Autodesk Build experience.
