Process Engineer

Job Title

Responsibilities:

Develop, control and prioritize a CIP list for your assigned area.

Lead CIP activities for your assigned area.

Control SPI documents by ensuring all documents are current, concise, and agree with BOM's.

Baseline and monitor process parameters identified as critical to quality (run charts, control charts, etc)

Lead actions to eliminate special causes.

Identify and lead cost saving projects using DMAIC methodology.

Control all other process related documents and ensure they are current.

Provide process support for trials.

Support root cause analysis of quality complaints.

Background Profile:

Bachelor of Science in an Engineering Discipline.

3+ years in Engineering in a related industry

Strong leadership, people and communications skills, problem solving skills

Strong AutoCAD skills

Experience and understanding of process systems, metrics, CIP and SPC.

Six Sigma training preferred

Physical Demands:

Engineer must be able to design and improve processes and equipment at various work stations throughout plant.

Engineer must be able to diagnose equipment malfunctions throughout plant.

Engineer must be able to manage machine installs.

Engineer must be able to complete small project work.

Engineer must be able to train employees on machines.

Engineer must be able to manage product change and product development.

Engineer must be able to communicate with various areas of plant.

Frequent standing, sitting and walking, occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, bending, reaching, climbing, kneeling, use of tools, materials, steps/ladders.
