We’re making insurance a force for communal good. Join us. Whatever comes to mind when you think about working in insurance, it’s not Branch. We didn’t just build better insurance, we built a company we’ve always wanted to work for. We start with culture, and we always have—we were even one of Glassdoor’s Best Places to Work in 2022 and 2023. See for yourself—explore the roles below to learn more. VP, Finance Employment Type Full time Location Type Remote Department Finance Compensation About Branch Branch is on a mission to make insurance more accessible, so more people can be covered. We innovate using data, tech, and automation to simplify insurance from start to finish—we eliminated inaccurate quotes in favor of real prices, created a better way to bundle, and cut unnecessary costs in the traditional insurance process. Then we pass those savings along to our members. Basically, we’re doing insurance the way it was meant to be. But we didn’t just create the insurance we’ve always wanted, we also created the company we’ve always wanted to work for. As we redefine insurance, we also want to redefine what it means to work in insurance. Find out for yourself. Lead strategic finance work, including business cases, unit economics, growth and pricing analysis, and scenario planning for key decisions. Oversee business insights, setting standards for reporting, metrics, and data quality so leaders across the company work from one trusted set of numbers. Create and roll out company-wide planning and budgeting practices, including how department leaders own and manage their budgets. Spot trends and risks in our results and in the market that could affect our plans, and recommend changes early. Partner closely with Accounting, Actuarial, Product, Sales, Claims, and Data leaders to connect financial plans to how the business actually runs. Manage a team of 10 and develop managers and their teams, including hiring, performance, coaching, and building future leaders. Experience leading or working closely with a business intelligence or data team, and a clear understanding of how good data and reporting lead to better decisions. Ability to turn complex numbers into a clear story and clear recommendations for executives. Strong judgment and the ability to influence senior leaders, including holding a firm position with clear reasoning when final decisions sit with others. Experience building, coaching, and growing teams of managers. Comfortable working through ambiguity in a fast-growing company. Advanced skills in Google Sheets, financial planning tools, and BI or reporting tools. Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field. MBA a plus.
