Exciting Opportunity for a Registered Nurse in the Operating Room!

Job Description:


- Position: Registered Nurse / Operating Room
- Shift: Day 4x10-Hour (09:00 - 19:30)
- Weekend Requirement: 1 weekend every 6 weeks
- Floating: No floating required
- On-call Requirement: Optional
- Holiday Requirement: Optional
- Patient Ratios: Please confirm with the unit
- Experience Required: 2 years in the Operating Room
- First-timers Accepted: Yes, first-time travelers welcomed with appropriate experience
- Certifications Required: BLS
- Education Required: BSN
- State Licensure Requirement: Pennsylvania or compact RN license required upon submittal
- Time Off Restrictions: Please submit all time off requests at the time of application
- Unit Requirements:
- Trauma experience required
- Must scrub total joints, neuro, hybrid vascular, and robotic cases
- Level II Trauma experience preferred
- General OR experience required
- Laparoscopic-assisted case experience required
- Experience with various surgical specialties: general surgery, gynecology, neurology, orthopedics, urology, vascular, thoracic, ENT, endoscopy, and trauma procedures
- Knowledge of code response, fire safety, latex allergy precautions, and malignant hyperthermia
- Proficiency in blood and blood product administration, infection control, and wound management
- Unit Information:
- 19 operating rooms averaging about 50 cases per day
- Preferred experience includes ortho, urology, endoscopy, vascular, thoracic, neuro and neuro spine, bariatrics, plastics, ENT, podiatry, and transplant
- Equipment experience: Electrosurgical unit, fiber-optic light source and cords, Cell saver, Hana Table, and Steris preferred
- Scrub Color: Provided
- Charting System: Epic
