About the Role

The Company is seeking a Head of Compensation Accounting to lead and oversee the complex financial processes associated with multi-manager investment firms. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing accruals, analysis, and operational processes related to compensation structures. This role involves close collaboration with senior professionals in finance, legal, HR, and investment to ensure compliance with accounting standards, partnership agreements, and internal policies. The Head of Compensation Accounting will also be tasked with driving process improvements, enhancing operational scalability, and contributing to the development of compensation accounting systems in collaboration with technology teams. Applicants must have a Bachelor of Science in accounting, finance, or a related field, with 7-12 years' experience in hedge fund accounting, management company accounting, or compensation accounting. A strong knowledge of US GAAP compensation accounting concepts and deferred compensation structures is essential. The role requires advanced Excel skills, and experience with SQL, Power BI, Alteryx, or similar data/reporting tools is a plus. The ideal candidate will have a CPA certification, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to manage highly confidential information with strong organizational and project management skills in a fast-paced environment. Key responsibilities include managing accounting processes for portfolio manager and investment team compensation, producing compensation reporting and analytics, and supporting regulatory, tax, and audit information requests related to compensation accounting.
