Patient Care Clerk

This position is responsible for building patient meal orders and delivering them to the patient room in a timely manner.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare patient trays according to specified diet order (includes condiments, cold and hot items)
• Prepare patient meal trays to follow quality, presentation, item placement, and patient meal tray accuracy.
• Deliver completed patient meal orders to patient rooms in a timely manner to meet department expectations; Following all required protocols including isolation and hand hygiene.
• Navigate through multiple information systems simultaneously (CBORD and Tray Monitor)
• Check diet discrepancies in diet order if prompted by Tray Monitor or CBORD.
• Prepare condiments or cold items as needed.
• Stock tray line supplies as needed.
• Deliver floor stock supplies to units as needed.
• Clean, dry and mat trays as needed; Wrap silverware as needed. All side duties as needed.
• Perform other duties and special projects as needed.

How You'll Be Successful:

WORK EXPERIENCE: At least 1 year related experience. Preferred EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent Required LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS: Obtain Food Handlers Certification within 30 days of hire, and maintain current status thereafter. Required
