Data Engineer

Job Description Role Overview We're looking for a hands-on Full Stack Engineer to own cloud-native features end-to-end, backend, frontend, and infrastructure, and bring AI-assisted engineering and GenAI-powered capabilities into our products. Key Responsibilities Engineering & Delivery • Design, build, and ship full stack features across backend services and frontend applications. • Own end-to-end delivery - API design, data modeling, UI implementation, deployment, and support. • Write clean, testable, production-grade code; participate actively in code reviews. • Troubleshoot issues across the stack, from UI to backend to infrastructure. • Build and consume REST / GraphQL APIs; integrate third-party services. Cloud & DevOps • Build and deploy services on a cloud platform, with ownership of the deployment pipeline. • Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code for the team's services. • Implement monitoring, logging, and observability for production workloads. AI-First Engineering • Use AI coding assistants (Copilot / equivalent) to raise development velocity and code quality. • Design and build features powered by LLMs - RAG pipelines, agents, embeddings, vector search. • Evaluate and integrate GenAI frameworks (LangChain, Semantic Kernel, or similar) into product workflows. Technology Stack Backend • Language & framework (Java, Spring Boot - preferred) • Alternative stack (Node.js, Express - also considered) • Architecture (Microservices, REST / GraphQL APIs) • Messaging (Kafka, RabbitMQ) Frontend • Framework (React, Angular, or Vue - any one) • Tooling (TypeScript, Webpack/Vite, state management libraries) Cloud & DevOps • Cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP - any one hands-on) • CI/CD (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps) • Containers & IaC (Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform) Data • Relational DB (PostgreSQL, MySQL) • NoSQL (MongoDB, DynamoDB) • Vector DB (Pinecone, Azure AI Search) AI / GenAI • LLM APIs (OpenAI, Azure OpenAI) • Orchestration frameworks (LangChain, Semantic Kernel) What We're Looking For • 8-10 years of full stack development experience, backend in Java preferred (Node.js also considered). • Hands-on experience with at least one modern frontend framework. • Practical experience designing, deploying, and running applications on a cloud platform. • Experience integrating AI/LLM capabilities into production applications. • Strong fundamentals in API design, data modeling, and system design. • Excellent communication skills - able to work directly with product and cross-functional teams.
