Description

American Traveler is hiring a Telemetry RN for a night shift observation unit position requiring 2-3 years of strong telemetry experience and MA state licensure.

Details

• Work in a 10-bed telemetry observation unit within an acute care hospital
• Care for patients being ruled out for various medical diagnoses, typically with 24-48 hour stays
• Occasional overflow surgical patients
• No medication drips administered on this unit
• Requires ability to function autonomously with strong telemetry experience
• Night shift schedule (4x12 hours, 19:00-07:30)
• Weekend requirement of 2-3 weekends (Saturday/Sunday) in a 6-week period
• On-call requirement of 5-6 night shifts in 6 weeks (22:00-07:00)
• Floating required within scope to Med/Surg Tele units
• Uses Cerner charting system

Requirements

• Active MA RN license required and in hand at time of submission (pending licenses not accepted)
• ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of telemetry experience required; 3 years strongly preferred
• Epic or Cerner charting experience required for first-time traveler consideration
• Skilled in cardiac monitoring, emergency response, and interpretation and management of dysrhythmias

Additional Information

• Provide telemetry observation care with a focus on autonomous clinical decision-making
• Any color scrubs permitted, no jean material
• Free parking available in unrestricted spaces or across the street from the hospital, with additional details provided at orientation
• First-time travelers welcome to apply if they have 2-3 years of experience and either Epic or Cerner experience
• Local candidates accepted
• Finalized RTO must be submitted upfront, with no additions allowed after signing
• Previous travelers must wait 1 year before being eligible to return to this facility
