Work Environment

The Physical Therapist Assistant will work full-time in a hospital setting that is both dynamic and rewarding. Key Responsibilities

• Implement individual physical therapy treatment plans developed by the supervising licensed Physical Therapist, ensuring adherence to best practices in patient care.
• Provide hands-on assistance with therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance tasks, and mobility support to help patients achieve their rehabilitation goals.
• Monitor and document patient progress in real-time, adjusting treatment plans as necessary based on patient responses.
• Educate patients and their caregivers on safety measures, exercises to continue at home, and the use of mobility aids to promote independence.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including nursing, therapy, and wellness staff, to develop comprehensive care plans that address the diverse needs of each patient.
• Maintain precise and timely documentation to comply with facility policies and Medicare regulations, utilizing electronic health record systems efficiently.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary focus of our care is on a diverse patient population that includes individuals recovering from surgery, those managing chronic conditions, and seniors seeking to maintain mobility and independence. Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant from the state of Virginia.
• CPR certification, or readiness to obtain certification upon hire.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare team members.

Preferred Experience

• At least two years of experience in a physical therapy setting, preferably with exposure to geriatric or long-term care patients.
• A genuine passion for promoting health and mobility in seniors.
• Strong interpersonal skills, enabling the establishment of trusting relationships with patients and their families.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from $60,000 to $75,000 per year, complemented by a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
