This full-time, contract role offers the chance to provide essential classroom support in both early intervention and elementary settings throughout Montgomery County.

Your primary focus will be on fostering an inclusive learning environment and assisting teachers with daily activities that support student learning and engagement. With a schedule of 37.5 hours per week, you’ll collaborate closely with educators to help students achieve their academic and developmental goals.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Previous experience as a paraprofessional or in a classroom support role is highly valued
• Familiarity with early intervention strategies and elementary education practices preferred
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, and families
• Patience, adaptability, and a genuine enthusiasm for helping children succeed
• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional coursework in education or related fields is an advantage
• Capable of working collaboratively as part of a team

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one or small group support to students to enhance classroom participation
• Assist teachers with lesson preparation, classroom management, and implementation of individualized plans
• Support students’ social, emotional, and academic development in a nurturing, inclusive environment
• Track and document student progress as directed by classroom teachers
• Help facilitate effective communication between families, teachers, and other school staff
