License: Registered Nurse license required Certifications: AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required Must-Have: - Ability to assist with cesarean sections and recovery of patients. - Experience with pain management and specialty clinics. - Strong background in Critical Access Client (CAH) operations. - Call availability for OB C-sections required. Description: The position requires oversight of daily operations in the surgical department. Responsibilities include managing surgical schedules, room turnover, and patient flow to ensure efficient operations. The RN will be required to provide direct patient care as needed. It is essential to handle staffing, shift scheduling, training, performance evaluations, and mentorship for operating room nurses and surgical techs. Compliance and safety measures must be enforced, adhering to infection control standards and regulatory requirements. The RN will monitor and manage inventory, surgical instruments, and equipment procurement in coordination with processing and vendors. Communication with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and pre/post-operative units is crucial to resolve issues and maintain high standards of patient care. Candidates should possess strong leadership, crisis management, and communication skills. A working knowledge of surgical procedures and sterile processing techniques is also required.
