About the Role

We're seeking a detail-oriented HIM Sr. Specialist to support medical records and health information management operations. You'll help ensure patient records are accurate, complete, and secure while working with EMR systems, document imaging, and healthcare data.

Key Responsibilities

• Scan, index, and maintain electronic medical records
• Review records for accuracy, completeness, and compliance
• Manage chart deficiencies and documentation workflows
• Process medical record requests and data corrections
• Support providers, patients, and internal teams with record-related inquiries
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and confidentiality standards

Qualifications

• Experience in medical records, HIM, healthcare administration, or document management
• Strong data entry and computer skills
• Knowledge of EMR systems (EPIC preferred)
• Excellent attention to detail and organization
• Strong customer service and communication skills

Preferred

• RHIT or RHIA certification
• Hospital HIM experience
• Experience with document imaging and chart management systems

This is a Contract position based out of Jasper, AL.

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $20.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
