Senior Java Developer

IDR is seeking a Senior Java Developer to join one of our top clients for a remote opportunity. This role involves supporting a statewide project focused on enterprise application development and integration within the public sector. The position offers the chance to work on complex systems utilizing current Java and cloud technologies.

Position Overview for the Senior Java Developer:

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise applications using Java, Spring Boot, and related technologies
• Build and support RESTful APIs, microservices, and batch processing solutions
• Participate in client walkthroughs, technical design sessions, and solution demonstrations
• Lead defect analysis, troubleshooting, and resolution efforts to ensure application quality and stability
• Develop and optimize SQL queries and database interactions using PostgreSQL or other relational databases

Requirements for the Senior Java Developer:

• 5+ years experience developing enterprise applications using Java 17 and/or Java 21
• Strong expertise with the Spring Framework, including Spring Boot, Spring MVC, REST APIs, and Spring Batch
• Experience designing and implementing microservices architectures
• Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL or other relational databases, including SQL optimization
• Experience with build tools such as Maven and Gradle
