Assembler/Packer - 1st Shift

divh2Assembler Position/h2pThis first shift Assembler position in the Cooking Steam business unit starts out at $18.80 an hour and is responsible for a range of assembly operations connected with main and final assembly, sub-assembly; packing, trouble shooting, repair and adjustment of stainless-steel commercial models to meet exacting operating performance. These positions may require daily and/or weekend overtime to meet customer expectations. Utilizing hand tools, power tools, fixtures, hoists and work instructions, the Assembler will also use their combined knowledge of both mechanical technology and electrical components to complete production tasks./pullih3Assembles and repairs equipment according to work instructions, blueprints, diagrams, and specifications using hand tools, power tools and precision instruments/h3/lilih3Usage of basic hand and power tools to assist in fitting and aligning parts, maintain close bearing and sliding fits, seal for water and steam tight assemblies/h3/lilih3Reads process sheets, blueprints, and work instructions to determine methods and sequence of assembly operations/h3/lilih3Performs visual inspections of equipment parts for defects related to the fit, form or function/h3/lilih3Works within a team environment to execute weekly production schedules that are measured for productivity/h3/lilih3Demonstrates a high level of competency on assembling of machines/h3/lilih3Assembles, packs and/or crates finished products and parts in a variety of crates or boxes/h3/lilih3Perform responsibilities and tasks following quality and safety practices and procedures/h3/lilih3Accepts responsibility for all housekeeping protocols and reporting any inventory concerns to supervisor/h3/lilih3Adhere to all plant rules and maintain proper attendance standards according to company policy/h3/lilih3Work and communicate well with others in a cross-functional team environment/h3/li/ulpMinimum Qualifications:/pullipHigh School diploma or GED preferred/p/lilipPrevious assembly experience preferred/p/lilipPrevious experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred/p/lilipAbility to use hand and power tools, safely and efficiently/p/lilipDemonstrate basic proficiency in reading and understanding blueprints and instructions to perform assembly in proper order and sequence/p/lilipAbility to physically perform (stand, pivot, lean, stoop, squat, lift up to 50 pounds) as required/p/lilipProlonged periods of standing/sitting and performing repetitive tasks/p/lilipPeriods of working in hot/cold manufacturing environment/p/li/ulpCompensation Information:/ppStarting pay $18.80/hour.
