OTR Dry van Company driver (W-2) Job in Smithfield, RI by HMD Trucking

Requirements

• 1 year of CDL-A OTR experience
• No DUI/DWI in the last 5 years
• No more than 3 moving violations or 3 preventable accidents
• No excessive speeding (over 21 mph) in the last 3 years
• Must be above 23 years old at the time of applying

Operate long-haul dry van routes nationwide from Smithfield, RI for HMD Trucking. You’ll work in late-model tractors (APUs, inverters, sleepers) with dedicated in-house maintenance and consistent freight patterns.

Role Snapshot:

• Transport dry van freight safely and efficiently, meeting schedule and customer instructions.
• Maintain accurate logs, perform inspections, and use electronic reporting tools.

Expectations & Conduct:

• Follow DOT regulations, company safety practices, and maintain professional communication with dispatch.

Requirements: Valid CDL-A and a minimum of 12 months verifiable experience. HMD offers strong mileage pay starting at 65 CPM and incentives for safe driving.
