Pharmacy Care Representative

As a Pharmacy Care Representative, you'll work in a team environment to provide superior customer service that exceeds patient expectations. Key responsibilities include providing superior customer service, working closely with Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians, and Pharmacy Care Representatives to provide excellent patient care, and promoting "Greet, Ask, and Thank" and H-E-B telephone strategies. You will receive written prescriptions from customers, obtain and verify demographic and profile-related information, and process written prescriptions and refill numbers into RXEVO. You will generate prescription-related paperwork, file, retrieve, and maintain prescriptions in the Will-Call area, and use RXEVO at point of sale to ensure procedures are followed to deliver prescriptions to the correct patients. You will direct customers to counseling windows for Pharmacist consultation, obtain/return tills from bookkeeping, and process customer transactions at the register. You will maintain manual signature capture receipts, scan them into RXEVO in a timely fashion, and properly process/clear prepaid prescriptions. You will ensure all prescription deliveries are finalized, print RX delivery ledger daily, and complete contact patient queue. You will file and maintain prescription hard copies, assist Technicians and Pharmacists to ensure complete, efficient production for the shift, and participate in Rx screening events, flu shot scheduling, immunization scheduling, and future medication therapy management events. You will check in and assist customers receiving vaccines using comprehensive vaccine manager tool or other professional services apps and may participate in other professional services activities. Inventory management includes receiving OTC inventory, checking delivery for accuracy compared to invoices, staging OTC inventory, breaking out into stocking sections, ensuring caps, vials, bags, etc., are correctly stocked, recording fridge and freezer temperature logs, and complying with Return to Stock SOP. Compliance and sanitation include complying with HIPAA regulations, TSBP rules, H-E-B SOPs, PSE transactions, Central Fill check-in procedures, and presentation, organization, sanitation, and maintenance guidelines. You will remove trash from the department and comply with trash compactor processes.

Qualifications and key requirements include being 18 years or older, having experience in retail and pharmacy, working in a fast-paced environment, possessing working knowledge of pharmacy-related tasks, H-E-B RXEVO system, register procedures, and H-E-B Pharmacy SOPs, strong communication and customer service skills, mathematical skills, PC skills including MS Office and H-E-B software, cash-handling skills, ability to maintain composure in high-stress situations, ability to demonstrate strong telephone etiquette, ability to manage multiple priorities and shift focus between tasks, ability to work in a team environment, and willingness to cross-train. Education includes a high school diploma or GED or equivalent. Licenses/certifications include completion of all required training and certification.

Physical demands include functioning in a fast-paced, retail, office environment, working rotating shifts including nights and weekends, standing for extended periods, regularly lifting 30 lbs or more, and fulfilling vision requirements for the job, specifically close vision and color vision. Maintain H-E-B Rx screener status, including required recertification.
