Job Details Specialty: Emergency Department (ER) / Emergency Nursing Type: Travel Registered Nurse Location: Independence, Missouri (Kansas City area) Assignment Length: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour day shifts, 10:00 AM - 10:00 PM Hours Per Week: 36 Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,680 - $1,770 Setting: Busy Emergency Department with 40 beds EMR: Meditech Patient Ratio: Approximately 4:1 Job Requirements Active RN license At least 1 year of Emergency Department or relevant acute care nursing experience BLS, ACLS, TNCC, ENPC, and CPI certifications required Strong adaptability and a team-oriented mindset Ability to stay calm, professional, and positive in high-pressure emergency care situations Previous experience in a fast-paced clinical environment preferred Comfortable working with emergency care workflows and documentation systems Responsibilities Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department Perform IV starts, phlebotomy, and cardiac monitoring and interpretation Support rapid assessment, intervention, and patient flow in a high-volume ER setting Collaborate closely with physicians, paramedics, ED techs, and support staff Utilize emergency equipment such as cardiac monitors, EKGs, ultrasound, Belmont Rapid Infuser, IO drills, and Lifepak devices as needed Maintain accurate and timely documentation in Meditech Deliver compassionate care while responding effectively to changing patient needs Apply now to join a Kansas City-area emergency nursing team and take the next step in your travel RN career.
