Role Description The Mortgage Loan Originator is a full-time, hybrid role based in Ridgefield, NJ, with flexibility for some work from home. This role is responsible for sourcing and developing relationships with real estate investors, assessing their financing needst, and recommending appropriate mortgage products. Day-to-day tasks include taking loan applications, gathering and reviewing borrower documentation, coordinating with underwriting, and managing files through closing. The Mortgage Loan Originator will communicate regularly with clients, real estate professionals, and internal teams to ensure a smooth, timely loan process and a positive borrower experience. The role also involves staying current on lending guidelines, DSCR products, and market trends to provide accurate, informed guidance. Qualifications Candidates should possess skills in Loan Origination and Mortgage Lending, with experience structuring investor-focused loans. Candidates should possess skills in Underwriting and Loans, including evaluating borrower and property profiles for risk and eligibility. Candidates should possess skills in Finance, with an understanding of cash flow analysis, cap rates, ROI, and investment property metrics. Experience with DSCR loan products, investment property lending, and multi-unit portfolios is strongly preferred. Strong communication, client relationship management, and negotiation skills, with the ability to explain complex terms clearly. Proven ability to manage multiple loan files, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a hybrid environment with minimal supervision. Familiarity with mortgage compliance requirements and documentation standards; NMLS registration and relevant state licensing required. Previous experience as a Mortgage Loan Originator or in a similar lending role; bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or related field is a plus. #J-18808-Ljbffr
