Radiology Technician

Shift Information

This position requires an 8-hour day shift, Monday through Friday, with flexible start times between 6:15 AM and 7:00 AM.

Minimum Requirements

• Education: Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technologist program.
• Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience as a radiology technician is required.
• Certifications:
  • Current certification as a radiology technician (ARRT).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, renewed every two years.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Basic computer operational skills.
• Physical strength to assist with lifting, moving, and positioning patients, as well as handling equipment and supplies.
• Ability to work collaboratively with others and maintain a positive attitude, particularly in high-stress situations.
• Strong communication skills, including the ability to understand verbal instructions and accurately document information.

Position Responsibilities

Essential Functions

• Perform and process radiographic and fluoroscopic tests as scheduled, demonstrating appropriate skills and a thorough understanding of all equipment.
• Obtain images using the appropriate equipment and ensure proper transfer to PACS.
• Document tests and procedures electronically.
• Assist with various clinical and office functions, including support for anesthesia, materials management, performing pregnancy tests and EKGs, and ensuring supplies are organized and correctly logged.
• Monitor inventory of radiology supplies and equipment, ensuring proper maintenance and reporting any malfunctions.
• Collaborate with clinical supervisors and managers to adjust schedules and provide coverage as necessary.
• Adhere to aseptic techniques when performing tests during surgical procedures.
• Maintain confidentiality regarding all records and information encountered during work activities.
