What You'll Do

Provide specialized nursing care in the Operating Room setting, supporting surgical procedures and patient recovery
Assist in preoperative assessment and preparation of patients
Collaborate with surgeons and anesthesia teams to ensure safe and effective patient care
Monitor patient vital signs and respond to emergent needs during procedures
Maintain strict adherence to safety and infection control protocols
Document patient interventions and outcomes accurately
Support team members and delegate tasks appropriately to ensure smooth surgical workflows

What You Need

Required:

Current RN license in Louisiana
BLS certification from the American Heart Association
ACLS and PALS certifications
Experience working with confidential information in a fast-paced environment
Strong organizational, judgment, and interpersonal skills

Preferred:

Prior experience in Operating Room or surgical nursing
Leadership or supervisory experience
Basic computer skills

About the Assignment This position involves providing expert nursing care in the Operating Room at a leading healthcare facility in Jennings, LA. You will work closely with surgical teams to deliver patient-centered care, ensure safety, and support optimal surgical outcomes. The role requires a proactive attitude, excellent communication, and the ability to handle high-pressure situations with professionalism.
