A medical center in southern Illinois has an opening for a Anesthesiologist to assist their team.

Opportunity Details:

• Schedule: 10 hour shifts
• Call shifts: Backup call, over the phone
• Cases: Orthopedics, urology, vascular, GI, GYN, & neuro spine (no OB, hearts or heads)
• 5 ORs, 1 procedure room, and 2 endoscopy suites
• Team care model - CRNAs function independently and as a team
• CRNAs are performing their own regional anesthesia
• Must be board-certified
• Paid travel & expenses
• 35 minutes from an international airport

QUALIFICATIONS

• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
• National Institutes of Health (NIH)
• Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
• Active unencumbered Illinois physician state license
• Graduate from a fully accredited MD or DO program
• One year of work experience as an Anesthesiologist
• One year of Epic experience
• Board Certified

• Participates in relevant continuing education programs.
• Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients.
• Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise.
• A can-do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital.
• Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.

Requirements:
• COVID vaccine with 2 Shots & Booster.
