Athletic Trainer

BSWTSJH is looking for an Athletic Trainer to be embedded in the sports medicine program with Stephen F. Austin State University. Individuals will be working as the rehabilitation specialist in the training room for post injury/post-surgery athletes. All BSWTSJH athletic trainers collaborate closely with orthopedic surgeons, nurses, x‑ray personnel, and therapists. Staff athletic trainers will be under the supervision of the school Athletic Director or Head Athletic Trainer along with the Director of Sports Medicine for Baylor Scott & White Texas Spine & Joint Hospital. Job requirements include care and prevention of athletic injury, rehabilitation, some travel when there is a gap in coverage due to illness, leave, or crossover from playoffs, and training room management. This position is dedicated to the school and has minimal outside requirements. Local High School football coverage on Friday night will be requested, and compensation will be added at PRN contracted rates. Salary range between $62,000 - $75,000 depending on experience and degree level: includes health insurance, 401k, CEU allotment, BOC renewal, Texas License reimbursement.
