Job Summary
Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Medical Surgical with Telemetry (MS TELE) at a healthcare facility located in Charlotte, North Carolina. This position involves providing patient care on a Med/Tele unit supporting various inpatient and overflow areas, with a focus on diagnoses including CHF, COPD, Chest Pain workup, Stroke symptoms, and Respiratory issues. The role requires working night shifts and supporting multiple units as part of a resource team.

Job Details

• Schedule: Night shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid licensure as a Registered Nurse, BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certification, 18 months minimum experience as a Med/Tele RN, and experience with stroke, cardiac rhythm interpretation, trach care, PIV starts, chest tube management, NGT placement, drain/tube management, PCA pumps, medication gtts including cardiac drips, Heparin, blood products, and IVF.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience supporting inpatient units with overflow work and float experience across multiple facilities within designated regions.
• Float: Floats to all units within scope at the facility and to other facilities within the region as needed, consistent with scope of practice.
• Additional Information: Orientation includes 2 days of departmental training. The unit utilizes EPIC electronic medical records, Alaris IV pumps, Omnicell medication dispensing, and Phillips monitors. Support staff includes CNAs, receptionists/HUCs, charge nurses, and on-call hospitalists and intensivists. Floating mid-shift is payable. Orientation and scheduling details include weekend rotations and holiday work, with up to 6 days off RTO approval. Scrub color is navy, and parking is free.
