Chemotherapy NurseAs the Chemotherapy Nurse, this nurse provides direct and indirect patient services to chemotherapy patients. The nurse will need to efficiently communicate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and co-workers about changes in patients' clinical conditions and policy updates. This nurse should be able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient and unit conditions to ensure safe and quality patient care. This role includes administrative functions, teaching, triage, counseling, supervision, delegation, and expertise in administering chemotherapy medications as prescribed. The RN is responsible for initiating the computerized Plan of Care on admission and caring for that plan.
