Maintenance Technician

Maintenance TechnicianAs the maintenance worker, you will be responsible for maintaining the cosmetic appearance and the mechanical function of the resort buildings and grounds, in both the interior and exterior of the property. The ideal candidate will have experience and knowledge in a wide range of hotel up keeping. The technician will complete work orders assigned by the supervisor while following safety regulations and respecting guests.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures; report any maintenance problems/safety hazardsPerforms maintenance and repairs with a minimum of guest disturbanceReplacement of light fixtures, fixing drywall/ wallpaper, paintingRepairing of broken or leaking plumbing to avoid water damage and restore full use of water fixtures; other light plumbing work as neededWorking on damaged electrical wiring when a shortage or severed wire occurs, along with other light electrical workAbility to diagnosis HVAC matters, upkeep and resolve simple mattersAppliance, furniture, and fixture repairs as neededCompletes all work orders in a timely and detailed manner per company program standardsExecution of scheduled preventative maintenanceMaintains all storage areas and work spaces in a clean, safe and secure mannerRequirements:Available to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidaysPrevious experience in a similar fieldAble to work independentlyWorking knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical skills, preventive maintenance procedures, and reasonable understanding of building equipment and hand toolsQualifying team members may enjoy the following benefits:Medical insuranceVision, Dental, Disability, Life and Accident insurancePaid VacationBereavement Leave401K PlanMyrtle Beach Seaside Resorts believes that our employees are the strength, vendors are the standard, homeowners are the prospect, and customers are the focus.
