Job Description\n American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Columbus, Ohio.Job Description & Requirements\n \n Specialty: PCU - Progressive Care Unit\n Discipline: RN\n Start Date: 10/19/2026\n Duration: 13 weeks\n 36 hours per week\n Shift: 12 hours, nights\n Employment Type: Travel\n \n Assignment Overview\n \n Shift: Nights, 3x12hrs\n Hours: 36 hrs/wk\n Start Date: Oct 19, 2026\n Length: 13 weeks\n Openings: 1\n Description\n American Traveler is hiring a night shift RN for a Progressive Care Unit position requiring telemetry monitoring experience and an active OH or compact RN license.Details\n \n Progressive Care Unit (PCU) setting at a teaching hospital\n Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00-7:30), 36 hours per week\n Every other weekend required\n Floating required within OSU facilities\n Cardiac monitoring and telemetry, including on-unit and remote monitoring\n Care includes IV therapy, central and peripheral line management, PICC line management, and blood product administration\n Manages dysrhythmia interpretation and emergency response, including Rapid Response/Code team utilization\n Provides wound care, non-invasive airway management, and oxygen administration\n Manages IV insulin protocols and titration of insulin drips\n Epic EMR experience required\n Requirements\n \n Active OH or compact RN license required at time of consideration\n BLS and ACLS certifications required\n Minimum 1 year of recent RN experience required\n Must be able to pass a telemetry competency test\n Some prior experience monitoring telemetry patients required\n Teaching hospital experience preferred\n Nursing education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program\n 2 professional references required, with at least 1 from a manager, director, or supervisor; a Charge RN reference is acceptable for the second; coworker references not accepted\n Additional Information\n \n First-time travelers are welcome to apply\n Candidates with only 1 year of experience are subject to manager review before offer\n Local candidates accepted at the same rate\n Former employees eligible for travel assignments after 6+ months away from the facility\n Current employees are ineligible for travel positions at this health system\n RTO requests must be submitted with the application and built into the contract, limited to 7 days or less\n Candidates must complete Ohio fingerprinting promptly after signing their contract due to strict compliance timelines\n \n \n American Traveler Job ID #P-730827.
