Driving university owned vehicles to job sites will be required for this position. Maintain acceptable driver rating as established in Policy UTS157.Provide feedback and identify problems with organizational evaluation of new network technologies, proof of concept projects, and configuration automation.Raise visibility of issues to network engineers of issues with automation processes, fault detection, standardized operations, and life cycle management.Perform other related functions as assigned.Required QualificationsAssociate degree and basic network certifications (CCT, CCNA), or equivalent work experience.Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, Routing and LAN switching)1+ years of experience with network operations or desktop support.This position requires independent work and access to CJIS systems and information. Candidates must complete CJIS training and pass a CJIS background check and fingerprint screening.U.S. Citizen, resident, or officially recognized asylee - Applicant selected will be subject to government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information at the level appropriate to the project requirements of the position.Equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.Preferred QualificationsExperience with medium-to-large enterprise network operations.Experience with Cisco Systems switches and routers (IOS, IOS-XE).Experience with RF survey tools.Experience with network testing tools.Higher education work experienceDriving RequiredThis job requires a class "C" operator's driver's license. The applicant selected must provide a current three-year driving record from the current state of residence. If not currently a Texas resident, a Texas driver's license must be obtained within 30 days of becoming a Texas resident.
