Saguaro Highlands Dr., Marana, AZ 85653Schedule: Monday – Friday, June 22nd – July 31stHours: 7:30 AM – 3:30 PMCompensationHourly Rate: $16–$19 per hour, dependent on experienceApproximately 35–40 hours per week expectedPosition SummaryPlay Academy is seeking a highly organized, energetic, and experienced Camp Director to oversee the planning, execution, and day-to-day operations of our summer camp program. This individual will lead camp staff, ensure a safe and engaging environment for campers, and maintain a high standard of program quality, safety, and communication with families and the community.Key ResponsibilitiesPlan, organize, and oversee all aspects of daily camp operations, including schedules, activities, and staffingLead, train, and support camp counselors and staff to ensure high-quality program deliveryEnsure the safety, well-being, and positive experience of all campers at all timesManage camper attendance, behavior support, and parent communicationMonitor program quality and implement improvements as neededEnsure compliance with all safety policies, procedures, and community standardsProvide regular updates to Play Academy leadership regarding operations and incidentsRepresent Play Academy professionally in all interactions with families, staff, and community partnersQualificationsPrior experience in camp leadership, recreation management, or youth programming requiredStrong leadership, communication, and organizational skillsAbility to manage staff and daily operations independentlyCPR/AED Certification required prior to camp startLifeguard Certification required prior to camp startStrong problem-solving skills and ability to remain calm in fast-paced environmentsExperience with youth development and age-appropriate programming preferredThis position is classified as a 1099 Independent ContractorResponsible for taxes, insurance, and compliance as applicablePhysical RequirementsAbility to lead and supervise physical activities and remain active throughout the camp dayAbility to lift light equipment and manage supplies as neededAbility to respond quickly in emergency or high-activity situations #J-18808-Ljbffr Play Academy
