Senior Structural Engineer I - Transmission / Substation

We are seeking a Senior Structural Engineer I with 10+ years of experience in structural steel and concrete design supporting heavy industrial, power generation, transmission, substation, or similar infrastructure projects .
This role will support transmission and substation design projects and will include structural analysis, foundation design, engineering calculations, field inspections, construction support, and oversight of designers and drafters.
Key Responsibilities- Design and analyze structural steel, reinforced concrete, foundations, and substation structures .
- Prepare engineering calculations, drawings, specifications, and material requirements.
- Perform structural steel connection design and analysis.
- Conduct site walkdowns, field inspections, and construction support activities.
- Review and check structural calculations and drawings.
- Develop cost estimates and material takeoffs.
- Support transmission line and substation projects.
- Coordinate with engineering, construction, project management, vendors, and field teams.
- Provide technical direction and mentorship to engineers, designers, and drafters.
- Manage multiple projects, schedules, priorities, and deadlines.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required.
- 10+ years of structural steel and concrete design experience .
- Experience in heavy industrial, power plant, transmission, substation, or commercial structural engineering.
- Strong experience with structural steel connections and foundation design.
- Working knowledge of AISC, ASCE, ACI, AWS, and OSHA standards .
- Proficiency with STAAD Pro and structural engineering software.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and project coordination skills.
- EIT certification or PE license.
- Experience with ANSYS, MathCAD, AllPile, LPILE, or FAD Tools.
- Seismic, wind, and vibration analysis experience.
- Transmission line structure or substation foundation design experience.
