Position Summary

Morris Business Solutions is seeking an experienced and technically capable IT Level 3 Engineer to join our MBS IT division.

This position will serve as a senior technical resource for our managed services clients and internal support team, handling complex escalations, Microsoft cloud administration, server management, networking, cybersecurity, and advanced infrastructure troubleshooting.

The ideal candidate will have strong MSP experience and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Intune, Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Windows Server, networking, and endpoint management. This individual should be comfortable owning complex issues from escalation through resolution while also assisting with project implementation and mentoring Level 1 and Level 2 technicians.

This position is focused exclusively on MBS IT and does not include PaperCut implementation or support responsibilities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Level 3 Support & Escalations

• Serve as a senior escalation point for complex issues that cannot be resolved by Level 1 or Level 2 technicians.

• Troubleshoot advanced workstation, server, network, Microsoft 365, identity, application, and connectivity issues.

• Take ownership of escalated incidents through resolution and implement long-term solutions based on root-cause analysis.

• Assist with critical outages, security incidents, and high-impact client issues.

• Coordinate with vendors and third-party support when advanced escalation is required.

• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to Level 1 and Level 2 technicians.

• Document repeatable resolutions and technical procedures.

Microsoft Intune & Microsoft 365

• Administer and support Microsoft Intune across managed client environments.

• Configure and maintain device enrollment, Windows Autopilot, configuration profiles, compliance policies, security baselines, application deployments, update policies, and endpoint security settings.

• Troubleshoot enrollment, application deployment, policy, and compliance issues.

• Administer Microsoft 365, including Microsoft Entra ID, Exchange Online, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint Online, and OneDrive.

• Manage users, groups, licensing, permissions, MFA, authentication, and Conditional Access.

• Assist with Microsoft 365 migrations, tenant configuration, endpoint standardization, and security improvements.

Server & Infrastructure Management

• Install, configure, maintain, troubleshoot, and upgrade Windows Server environments.

• Support Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, file and print services, Hyper-V, virtual machines, and other Windows Server roles.

• Troubleshoot server performance, authentication, replication, storage, and connectivity issues.

• Manage permissions, file shares, security groups, and Group Policy configurations.

• Perform server migrations, upgrades, replacements, and domain-related projects.

• Monitor server health, backups, and recovery readiness while maintaining accurate infrastructure documentation.

Networking & Cybersecurity

• Troubleshoot and manage firewalls, managed switches, wireless access points, VLANs, VPNs, routing, switching, site-to-site connectivity, and internet failover.

• Diagnose advanced network, firewall, wireless, and connectivity issues.

• Assist with network installations, upgrades, and replacements.

• Support endpoint protection, managed detection and response, email security, backup, and other cybersecurity solutions.

• Investigate security alerts, assist with incident response and remediation, and identify risks requiring corrective action.

Projects & Solution Engineering

• Serve as a senior technical resource for MSP onboardings, server deployments and migrations, Microsoft 365 migrations, Intune deployments, network/firewall installations, workstation deployments, and cloud or cybersecurity projects.

• Review client environments and recommend technical improvements.

• Assist the IT Project Manager and MBS IT leadership with technical requirements, labor estimates, scopes, and implementation plans.

• Validate proposed solutions and ensure they meet MBS IT support standards.

• Complete assigned technical project work and properly transition completed environments to support.

Documentation & Team Development

• Maintain accurate client documentation within MBS IT systems.

• Document servers, networks, Microsoft 365 environments, configurations, credentials, vendors, and technical procedures.

• Create and maintain Standard Operating Procedures and technical documentation.

• Provide mentorship and technical guidance to other members of the MBS IT team.

• Identify recurring issues and recommend improvements to tools, processes, and technical standards.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Five or more years of professional IT experience.

• Experience working in an MSP environment or supporting multiple business clients.

• Demonstrated Level 3 or senior escalation experience.

• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Intune and modern endpoint management.

• Strong experience with Microsoft 365, Microsoft Entra ID, Exchange Online, Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS/DHCP, Hyper-V or similar virtualization, business networking/firewalls, backup and disaster recovery, and endpoint security solutions.

• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, routing, switching, and DNS.

• Experience installing, migrating, upgrading, and supporting Windows Server environments.

• Ability to independently manage complex technical issues through resolution.

• Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills.

• Ability to work effectively with clients, technicians, vendors, and leadership.

• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to client locations.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience with Microsoft Autopilot and Conditional Access.

• Experience with Microsoft 365 tenant migrations and Intune deployments.

• Experience with ConnectWise Manage, ConnectWise RMM, ScreenConnect, IT Glue, or similar MSP platforms.

• Experience with Ubiquiti UniFi, Meraki, or comparable networking platforms.

• Experience engineering technical solutions for small and mid-sized businesses.

• Microsoft, CompTIA, Cisco, Ubiquiti, or similar technical certifications.

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
