Sr. Clinical Lab Associate - 2nd Shift

Abbott seeks a Senior Clinical Lab Associate for specimen processing operations on a second shift basis. The role involves managing daily lab productivity, troubleshooting automation systems, handling exceptions, and providing team leadership in a high-throughput clinical laboratory environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead production workflow, troubleshoot automation systems, and resolve complex sample issues
• Conduct sample storage audits and perform advanced maintenance on laboratory equipment
• Monitor production reports, provide employee feedback, and lead team meetings
• Support quality improvements, SOP development, and department audits with leadership
• Ensure compliance with laboratory policies, safety regulations, and good documentation practices

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2+ years laboratory, medical, or high-throughput environment experience
• 1+ year leading, mentoring, or coaching others
• Knowledge of CAP, GLP, GDP, CLIA, NYSDOH, and HIPAA regulations
• Intermediate proficiency with Internet, email, and Microsoft Office
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and tolerate bodily fluid exposure
• Authorization to work in United States without sponsorship
