Description:
Dispensing Optician who works full-time, schedule includes Saturday's hours.
Licensed Opticians and Optical Managers are encouraged to apply.
A key to our success is making sure the team has everything in place that they need to deliver our unique range of clinical services and to participate in delivering essential care to the community.
Requirements:Experience in the optical industry preferred, with at least 3-5 years employment in an optical setting.
Accuracy and attention to detail are vital to this role.
Successful candidates must meet standards of clinical care and possess great customer service.
Responsibilities include:
Measures and fits contact lenses and eyeglass frames based on prescriptions written by ophthalmologists or optometrists.
Takes precision measurements to ensure proper fit of eyeglasses or contact lenses.
Assists and advises patients in selecting frames based on their prescription, lifestyle needs, and style preferences.
Inspects lenses for quality, fits and adjusts eyewear, and repairs eyewear, as needed.
Instructs patients on correct eyeglass and contact lens care and maintenance.
Processes work orders and sales.
Maintains frame inventory, reports, and optical supplies.
May oversee trainees or student opticians.
