Store Associate

Store Associate Location: Chesapeake, VA Pay Rate: $15.00 per hour Shifts: Morning 7 am–3 pm, Mid 10 am–6 pm, Evening 2 pm–10 pm We are hiring dependable team members who keep everything running. You’ll be responsible for providing excellent customer service, operating the register, stocking shelves, preparing the store for opening, unloading shipments, rotating and displaying products, monitoring pricing, maintaining cleanliness, and supporting stocking operations as needed. Responsibilities Provide excellent customer service by greeting, assisting, and engaging customers Operate the register and process transactions accurately, including cash handling Stock shelves and merchandise products to ensure a clean, organized, and fully stocked store Prepare the store for opening, including setup, cleaning, and organizing inventory Unload shipments, sort products, and maintain stockroom organization Rotate and display products according to company standards and freshness guidelines Monitor pricing and report discrepancies Maintain cleanliness across the sales floor, storage areas, and workspaces Support day or night stocking operations as needed Qualifications No prior experience required (entry‑level) Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Strong work ethic and reliability; must be available to start immediately Basic customer service and communication skills Ability to work in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment Benefits Solid weekly pay – direct deposit or payment card Medical, dental, and vision benefits Optional 401(k) plan Staffmark is an equal‑opportunity employer.
