Patient Care Technician (PCT) Positions Available

Amergis Staffing is seeking three Patient Care Technicians (PCTs) with Operating Room Assistant or EVS-in-OR experience for 13-week assignments at Lucile Packard Children's Hospital (LPCH) in Palo Alto. These roles support a high-acuity pediatric surgical environment and require strong reliability, adaptability, and comfort working 12-hour rotating shifts.

Position Overview

PCTs will support the operating room by assisting with room turnover, equipment preparation, cleaning protocols, supply management, and workflow coordination. Candidates must have prior OR Assistant or EVS Tech experience specifically within an OR and be comfortable working in a fast-paced surgical environment.

Compensation

Local Operating Room Assistant Contract Hourly Pay: $30 Estimated Weekly Pay Package: $1,080

Orientation

• Monday onsite for HealthStream modules
• Remainder of week onsite with manager or additional orientation
• Detailed schedule provided in attachments

The Patient Care Technician (PCT) provides personal care and related services to patients. The Patient Care Technician may operate as a patient's caregiver under the direction, instruction and supervision of a doctor, nurse and/or medical professional.

Minimum Requirements:

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent preferred
• At least one (1) year of successful work experience preferred
• National Certified Patient Care Technician (NCPCT) certification preferred and may be required per state/contract
• Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice
• Current CPR if applicable
• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
• Must be at least 18 years of age
