Pulmonology Nurse Practitioner

Position Overview Pioneer Pulmonology, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine is seeking a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our Brandon outpatient pulmonary clinic. This daytime, Monday Friday role offers 8-hour shifts, paid time off, and the opportunity to deliver high-quality specialty care in a collaborative clinic setting. Key Responsibilities Evaluate and manage patients with acute and chronic pulmonary conditions across new and follow-up visits. Perform histories and physical exams, develop treatment plans, monitor response to therapy, and adjust care in collaboration with supervising physicians. Order and review pulmonary diagnostics, including PFTs, imaging, laboratory testing, and sleep studies within scope of practice. Manage pulmonary therapies, including inhalers, nebulized treatments, oxygen therapy, and related medications. Support the Lung Nodule Program through surveillance, care coordination, and timely follow-up of incidental and screening-detected findings. Coordinate care with physicians, primary care providers, hospital teams, nurse navigators, and ancillary staff. Educate patients and families on disease management, treatment plans, smoking cessation, medication adherence, oxygen therapy, and prevention. Maintain accurate documentation and support quality, safety, regulatory compliance, patient access, and clinic collaboration. Qualifications Current Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner license, or eligibility for licensure, in Florida. Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program. Pulmonary, sleep medicine, internal medicine, family medicine, or specialty clinic experience preferred. Strong clinical judgment, communication, teamwork, documentation, and patient-centered care skills.
