Cost Accounting Manager

Our client is hiring a Cost Accounting Manager for a hybrid opportunity based in Bridgewater, NJ. This position offers the chance to play a key role in financial reporting, balance sheet management, forecasting, and payroll accounting while partnering with finance leaders across the organization. The successful candidate will possess 5-7+ years of corporate accounting experience, strong knowledge of US GAAP and internal controls, and experience working within a dynamic, high-volume environment. Candidates with fashion, retail, or consumer products industry experience are encouraged to apply.

Role Overview:
• Contract Role: 5 months
• Pay: $90-96/hr on W2 (No C2C or 1099)
• Schedule: Hybrid - onsite 4x per week, 1 day remote
Responsibilities:
• Lead month-end close, forecasting, and budgeting activities for assigned balance sheet accounts
• Analyze financial results, investigate variances, and ensure accurate account reporting
• Oversee account reconciliations, accruals, and payroll accounting activities
• Support audits, financial reporting, tax requirements, and SOX compliance initiatives
• Partner with shared service teams to improve processes, provide training, and maintain accounting controls
Required Qualifications:
• Experience with SAP S/4 and SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SOX compliance, and global finance operating models
• Deep understanding of end-to-end accounting processes, including balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, payroll accounting, and financial reporting
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, with a focus on process improvement and automation
