Local Delivery Driver (CDL A or B)
Linde Gas & Equipment Inc. in Sacramento, CA, United States is seeking a Local Delivery Driver. This position involves delivering products to customers, making an average of 10-12 stops per day, touching freight, completing paperwork, and providing excellent customer service. You will accurately count and record the quantities and styles of products delivered and picked up, complete hazardous material shipping orders papers in accordance with DOT regulations, conduct and report pre-trip and post-trip inspections, identify the need for timely vehicle repairs and/or maintenance, build relationships and partnerships with internal and external customers to meet business and customer needs, and continuously build your knowledge on how Linde's business operates and succeeds to help the organization grow.
To qualify for this role, you must have a high school diploma or GED, along with proficiency in reading and writing in English. You will have two (2) years of consecutive driving experience or recent certification from a Truck Driving School, along with a valid Class A or B CDL. This role requires you to be 21 years or older, have a hazmat endorsement on your CDL or must obtain one within 60 days of hire, not have any preventable accidents, license suspensions, or moving violations in the past two (2) years, and no alcohol-related convictions within the last ten (10) years. You must be able to pass a DOT physical and obtain a medical certificate, and have the ability to push, pull, move, and lift a minimum of 75 pounds.
