Position Title: Electrical Engineer Location: Webster, TX (Houston area) Relocation Assistance: None available at this time Remote/Telework: No – Onsite required Clearance Required: None Work Schedule: Full-Time Travel: Minimal Position Summary Aegis Aerospace is seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to join our Space Flight Systems project team in Webster, Texas. Aegis Aerospace has a long legacy of developing space hardware payloads for the International Space Station and NASA lunar missions. As we continue expanding our portfolio of projects, we are developing another ISS payload and hardware for a commercial space station. This position will support the design, procurement, assembly, and testing of electrical hardware required for these spaceflight hardware projects. The selected candidate will be an experienced product development engineer responsible for designing electrical systems and printed circuit board electronics, supporting hardware development through the full project lifecycle, and working closely with cross‑functional engineering and quality teams to meet technical, schedule, and mission requirements. Key Responsibilities Interpret electrical hardware requirement specifications Develop and document electrical system requirements Conduct concept trade studies and evaluate design options Write and execute test procedures to verify and validate electrical designs and ensure requirements are met Prepare and present design progress, approach, and rationale to design review boards Ensure hardware designs meet size, weight, power, and cost budgets Author, update, and maintain hardware specifications throughout the project lifecycle Define and baseline electrical interfaces to support system integration Perform and/or review electrical analyses Prepare, review, and release electrical drawings to ensure technical accuracy and compliance with project schedules Author detailed assembly procedures to ensure hardware is built to specifications Execute procurement, manufacturing, assembly, and testing of electrical hardware to meet project milestones and quality standards Contribute to safety documentation and present to safety review boards as required Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including electrical, systems, and quality engineers, to support project success Perform other duties as assigned to support project objectives Support occasional evening or weekend work as needed to meet project deadlines Minimum Qualifications Must be a U.S. Citizen or lawful permanent resident Green Card holder Must be able to successfully complete a U.S. government background check Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university or college Experience in an electrical engineering role designing printed circuit board electronics Proficiency with circuit design and analysis software, such as Altium, for designing electrical systems and circuit boards Experience using laboratory equipment to verify and troubleshoot electrical system performance, including oscilloscopes, power supplies, and digital multimeters Ability to perform engineering calculations for electrical circuits Excellent organizational and time management skills Sound engineering judgment Highly dependable, self‑motivated, and accountable Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team Desired Qualifications Experience designing, procuring, manufacturing, and testing hardware for extreme environments, including space, high‑temperature, or high‑vibration conditions Proficient experience using Altium for PCB design, especially systems with embedded processors Experience developing software to test PCB functionality Experience with power system design, including DC‑DC converter design and implementation of DC‑DC converters and linear regulators Experience with digital measurement of analog sensors, including signal conditioning with passive components and operational amplifiers, ADC selection, and ADC interfacing Compensation Expected salary range is $80,000–$100,000 annually.
