Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Med Surg/Telemetry night shift role requiring stroke patient experience and active NIHSS certification.

Details

• Med Surg unit within an acute and sub-acute care hospital setting
• Must be willing to accept telemetry patients as needed
• Night shift, 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• 36 hours per week schedule
• Weekend and on-call schedules to be determined by the facility
• 9-week assignment length

Requirements

• Active RN license (MD or Compact) required at time of consideration
• Current BLS (AHA) certification required
• Current NIHSS certification required upon consideration
• Must be willing to obtain mRS/SIREN certification within 48 hours if offered
• Must be willing to complete Basic EKG test and score 85% or higher within 48 hours if offered
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med Surg/Telemetry experience required
• Minimum 2 years of experience working with stroke patients, documented on resume, required
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Flu vaccination required; declinations not accepted
• COVID-19 vaccination required with state record documentation; declinations not accepted
• Must be willing to work the facility's set schedule without restrictions

Additional Information

• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document nursing care in accordance with professional nursing standards
• Accountable for quality of nursing services delivered by self or team members under direction
• Holiday coverage required for recognized holidays: New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day
• Local candidates accepted with no radius restriction and no rate change
• RTO requests limited to the equivalent of one week of contracted hours
