Account Executive, Commercial Lines

Account Executive – Commercial Lines Our Parent Company in Kansas City is growing and looking to add experienced professionals to our Commercial Lines team! This is a client‑facing strategic role where you’ll have ownership, influence, and the ability to make a meaningful impact on both clients and their employees. Responsibilities Lead overall service, placement, and business development management on an assigned book of business. Drive business development and retention for assigned house accounts. Develop renewal strategy, including market approach, claims reviews, gap analysis, and coverage specifications. Prepare marketing materials, negotiate terms, write executive summaries, review proposals, and facilitate binding of new business and renewal coverage. Debrief clients on proposal presentations and create binding instruction recaps for the team. Draft stewardship reports promptly as agreed with the client. Provide oversight and direction for Loss Control services and claims management. Review client contracts and communicate material coverage changes to carriers. Understand and communicate the client’s service expectations. Serve as escalation point for the client or RSC teams when issues arise. Qualifications 7+ years of experience in a Property & Casualty brokerage environment. Deep technical knowledge of Property & Casualty business. Expertise in loss‑sensitive, alternative risk transfer, and self‑insured retention programs. Valid insurance licenses as required by the Company. Physical Demands and Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to sit, hear, and reach with hands and arms regularly. The employee occasionally must stand and walk. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. Typically, the noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud. Occasional travel may be required.
