The platform uses a Fair Rate Index to provide transparent, benchmarked pricing for every job, so homeowners know the cost upfront and contractors avoid race‑to‑the‑bottom bidding. Each job is matched to a single local professional, with payments held in escrow via Stripe and released only after work is completed and approved. YSKAIPE monetizes completed, satisfied jobs rather than selling shared leads, aligning incentives with both homeowners and contractors. Operated by Peaking Waters LLC in Cornelius, NC, the company is starting in the Lake Norman corridor and plans to expand across the Charlotte metro area and beyond, covering eight core trades including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, roofing, landscaping, painting, general contracting, and automotive. Role Description The Contractor Ops & Community Lead is a full‑time, on‑site role based in Cornelius, NC. This role focuses on building and managing relationships with local contractors, realtors, HOAs, and community partners to grow YSKAIPE’s founding cohort and marketplace density. Day‑to‑day responsibilities include onboarding and supporting contractors, coordinating job workflows, and ensuring that projects move smoothly from instant quote to completion and payment. The role also involves organizing local outreach initiatives, gathering feedback from homeowners and contractors, and collaborating with internal teams to improve operational processes and community engagement. This person will serve as a key point of contact in the Lake Norman corridor, helping to establish trusted partnerships and a strong local presence as YSKAIPE scales. Qualifications Experience in operations, account management, or contractor/vendor management, with the ability to coordinate jobs, schedules, and workflows efficiently. Community engagement, partnership building, and relationship management skills to collaborate with contractors, realtors, HOAs, and local organizations. Strong communication skills, including clear written and verbal communication, active listening, and conflict resolution when needed. Basic comfort with technology and digital tools, including marketplace platforms, CRM systems, and payment/escrow solutions. Organizational and problem‑solving abilities, with attention to detail and a focus on creating smooth, reliable experiences for both homeowners and contractors. Knowledge of or exposure to home services trades (e.g., HVAC, plumbing, electrical, roofing, landscaping, painting, general contracting, automotive) is beneficial. Prior experience in startup, marketplace, or local services environments is a plus, as is familiarity with the Lake Norman and Charlotte metro area.
